My heart fell as I heard the news this morning on tv. Though I never met your daughter, I saw a sign about her disappearance back in July and it hit me hard. &quot;She&#39;s beautiful and stunning, ambitious and full of life&quot; I thought to myself. It didn&#39;t seem fair. Following her story has made me realize my own vulnerability in this life. I&#39;m only 22, and quite often I take each day for granted. I met her brother briefly while at the Citadel and the reality of this situation has been an eye opener. Reading your memories of her brought me to tears and my heart truly aches for your loss. She sounds like a wonderful young lady. I pray that you and your family continue to heal and that Kate&#39;s story can help save other women. I also pray that she lives on in the hearts of those who have been touched by her story. She will surely stay in mine.
